I was an extremely shy kid who loved
to dance. My parents enrolled me into
dance classes and although I loved taking
Jazz, Tap, Modern and Ballet, I ALWAYS

day when I was 14, I saw a video by
Michael Jackson called, "Jam".
Now, I'm a HUGE Michael Jackson fan

this particualr video was different.
I thought that the dancing was INCREDIBLE
because of the way Michael Jackson moved
to certain hooks in the music. Seeing
Michael dance sparked a feeling of excitement
in me that I couldn't describe any other
way than to move. That's when I decided
to learn the moves that Michael Jackson
made famous over a short period of time!
I didn't know where to start but I KNEW
that I wanted to learn how to glide
and pop the way Michael Jackson did.
The dance teachers where I took dance
classes did not have the slightest clue
how to do or teach these kinds of moves
so I resorted to books on breaking and
mime. Although it gave me a very basic
idea of the type of movements Michael
Jackson did, I still didn't know how
to do them so I designed a series
of methods that had me doing the moves
that Michael Jackson made famous!
Eventually, I was teaching kids during
recess time how to do the moonwalk at
school and they learned the essentials
needed to impress even the biggest skeptics.
These
